This photo is from a book from what to seems to be a great publisher, Blast Books. It is called Dissection: Photographs of a Rite of Passage in American Medicine 1880-1930 by John Harley Warner and James M. Edmonson, and it's a collection of rare photographs Medicine students took of themselves with the cadavers they dissected. The MHMC is a group of four girls who have always wanted to be artists. They came together in an attic in Lisbon, city of saints and madmen, in the Spring of the year of 2009. They each pursue their own mediums as artists (illustration, painting, photography, jewellery, millinery, engraving, screen-printing), as well several projects together. They share a love for Catholic imagery, shiny baubles, toilet humour and vintage erotica. They can usually be found sharing dirty jokes over espressos.
